Job Description:
Promote the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools and model the teaching of the Catholic Church
Support the growth and development of students in their faith
Collaborate with the Student Assistance Team and consult with parents, teachers, clergy, and administrators to address student concerns and progress
Coordinate standardized testing at the building level, including materials organization, teacher training, and data analysis
Provide in services and professional development to staff on testing procedures, data interpretation and educational resources
Maintain connections with external counseling agencies and support community programs
Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, collect and transition student assessment data, attend relevant workshops, and fulfill other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in counseling
South Dakota school counselor certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Maintain high level of confidentiality
