Job Description:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that promote active learning and engage students in historical exploration and analysis
*Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum maps, ensuring adherence to academic standards and educational goals
*Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and relevant technology to accommodate diverse learning needs and foster student understanding of historical concepts
*Assign, grade, and evaluate classwork, homework, tests, and projects; provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
*Stay informed on developments in history education, teaching methods, and resources, incorporating these into instructional practices as needed
*Establish clear objectives, supervise students, and maintain discipline, and provide academic and emotional support to help students succeed
*Participate in department meetings, parent-teacher conferences, school events, and fundraisers while upholding professionalism, confidentiality, and the mission of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
*State certification

*Knowledge of relevant technology
*Excellent verbal and written communication
*Good problem solving and decision making skills
*Self-motivated with high energy
