9th-12th Grade Philosophy Part-Time Position

Archangels Academy, an independent K-12 classical academy rooted in Catholic tradition, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and faith-filled, part-time 9th – 12th Philosophy teacher for our 2025-26 academic year. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for one called to the formation and education of young hearts and minds. Candidates should be comfortable teaching all of the following courses in Philosophy: Introduction to Philosophy and Logic; Intermediate Logic and Introduction to Natural Philosophy.

Opportunities for this position to be part-time Philosophy and part-time with another open position could be considered.

Job Summary:

• Prepare a pacing guide to deliver lesson plans to students throughout the year.
• Manage the classroom and learning environment for student success.
• Communicate with parents and administration as to the students’ progress.
• Facilitate student learning using various teaching strategies.
• Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, and other duties assigned by the Headmaster.

Requirements:

• The person must be a practicing Catholic.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Candidate with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in Catholic, classical, liberal arts education is preferred.
