Saint Joseph Regional School (SJRS) is seeking an engaged Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will teach general Mathematics classes (Grades 5-8) as well as Pre-Algebra/Algebra I. The candidate should bring energy for the subject matter to the classroom setting with a passion for Mathematics.
Opened in 1886, SJRS is a thriving private PK-8 school with 230 students. With small class sizes, SJRS is focused on academic excellence, service, faith and family. The ideal candidate would be an actively practicing Catholic who supports the school’s mission, models Catholic values, and engages fully in the life of the school community. Sharing a vibrant campus with Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Grades 9-12 founded in 2020) and Saint Bernard Church, SJRS is dedicated to educating the mind, body, and spirit of each student in the Catholic tradition.
A desire and ability to work with pre-teens is essential in this position. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in making a positive impact on the lives of students. Candidates must lead through example and teaching, and can see the potential in all students as they work with individuals of all ability levels. The candidate should also be willing to work collegially with administration and fellow faculty members to explore effective and creative methods of instruction, assessment, and student support. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing standards-based lessons, providing students with constructive feedback, communicating with parents, and collaborating with fellow teachers. Exceptional interpersonal, written, teamwork, and oral communication skills are necessary as well as excellent classroom management skills. Experience with Google Classroom is preferred.
Two or more years of middle school teaching experience and NHDOE certification preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
